Kristin A. Connarn leverages her background in biotechnology and cancer research to effectively guide her clients through strategic patent portfolio development and management. Her practice focuses on life sciences patent prosecution, portfolio development, and management in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.
Kristin's patent prosecution experience includes human and humanized antibodies, methods of treatment and diagnostics, dry powder inhalation therapies, food science, protein therapies, vaccines, and medical devices. She also assists clients in structuring and negotiating intellectual property licenses, strategic collaborations, and other complex commercial transactions involving intellectual property assets. Kristin further develops and delivers training sessions for employees and managers and counsels in-house patent team members regarding invention disclosures.
Kristin holds a bachelor's degree with high distinction in biotechnology. She has previous experience as a research associate in the Cancer Bioscience and CNS groups at AstraZeneca R&D Boston, where she applied molecular and cell biology techniques to research cancer and Alzheimer's disease. She also researched gene activation with Transkaryotic Therapies.
