Pensions issues on corporate transactions

We will be hosting our seminar on pension issues relevant for corporate transactions in June. This one-off seminar is aimed specifically at those working for corporates (whether or not with a pensions background) who need to understand the implications of a defined benefit (DB) pension scheme for corporate transactions.

Topics covered by our experts from the Hogan Lovells pension team will include:

  • Risks of action by the Pensions Regulator - particularly after the BHS and Carillion insolvencies
  • Penal fines and criminal sanctions announced in the March 2018 White Paper
  • Pension implications of a share sale for buyers and sellers
  • Implications of a business sale - what pension rights pass under TUPE?
  • Negotiating with pension scheme trustees
  • Pension issues arising from paying dividends, refinancings, internal reorganisations and other non-M&A transactions.

For a more detailed taster of the topics to be covered and for things to think about, please see this flyer.

Target audience:

Those working for corporates (whether or not with a pensions background) who need to understand the pension implications of corporate transactions.
