Retail Industry Leaders Association and Retail Litigation Center’s Retail Law Conference

Salomé Cisnal De Ugarte (Brussels) and Leigh Oliver (Washington, D.C.) will present at the Retail Industry Leaders Association and Retail Litigation Center’s 2019 Retail Law Conference, which covers the pressing topics facing the retail industry.

The session, “U.S. and EU Antitrust Issues: Brick & Mortar vs Online Retail Formats,” will explore current antitrust issues of retailers on both sides of the Atlantic. This panel includes discussing market definition questions that arise when competition authorities look into online and brick and mortar retail. They also will discuss resale price maintenance, which involves navigating different resale pricing rules around the world and within the U.S., and enforcement activity related to “geo-blocking” or restricting retailers from online advertising or cross-border sales.
