Ned Nakles focuses his practice on real estate finance, investment, and acquisition and disposition transactions.
Ned regularly represents clients in the negotiation of construction, term, MBS, and mezzanine loans, multi-property financings, and purchase and sale agreements for transactions across the country. He also represents clients in the drafting of credit agreements, building loan agreements, intercreditor agreements, and property-level documents. Ned additionally has experience working with loan purchasers, lenders, and trustees on workouts of distressed real estate projects.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Ned worked at a number of major law firms in New York City where he focused on a wide variety of financing transactions, as well as NYC-area hotel and office sales. Ned began his legal career as an attorney in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Legal Honors Program. He draws on his past government experience to help clients navigate transactions involving tax incentives, agency financing, and other government benefits.

Represented EB-5 Regional Center in connection with a US$175m construction loan for the development of a NYC-area outlet mall.*
Represented bond trustee in the workouts of municipal bond financed student housing facilities on the East and West coasts.*
Represented lender in connection with an approximately US$300m MBS credit facility to a fund borrower secured by a portfolio of seniors housing facilities.*
Represented credit enhancer in connection with an approximately US$120m custody receipt transaction for the financing of a Manhattan multifamily property.*
Represented seller in connection of the over US$100m sale of an office building located on Madison Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.*
