Michael Rose is an M&A partner in our Munich office. His practice focuses on public takeovers, M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and corporate law.

In addition he regularly advises clients in the area of Shareholder Activism, Corporate Governance, D&O-liability and corporate litigation. He is also a permanent corporate law advisor of the board of several important German companies. Michael particularly has a wealth of experience in the retail industry sector.

Clients appreciate his practical answers and his pragmatic approach (Legal 500 Germany 2019). His client relationships are built on longevity and trust. 

For years, Michael has been recognized as a leading lawyer for corporate law by Best Lawyers, Legal 500, Kanzleimonitor and Acritas. Michael is also the author of many publications in the area of corporate law. Inter alia he is the author and co-publisher of the Beck-handbook Reasons for the annulment of shareholder resolutions under the German Stock Corporation Act.

Michael graduated from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich with a degree in law. He wrote his doctoral thesis on the liability of a proxy exercising votes in general meetings of German stock corporations. In 2007, Michael was seconded to our offices in Frankfurt am Main, Hong Kong and Beijing. During his professional training, Michael worked, inter alia, in our London office.
